The price includes a one hour visit to the Hedgehog rescue where you will see some of the Hedgehogs in our care being weighed. Please be aware that the Hedgehog you have chosen to sponsor may not be in the rescue at the time of your visit, depending upon when you arrange.
Please send a private message to the page to advise of your interest and we will let you know some detail about the visit which you need to be agreeable to before purchasing. This just relates to the need to speak in hushed tones in the rescue and understand that these are wild animals so we need to be respectful of them and therefore visits are limited to a maximum of two visitors at a time to minimise disruption to them.
Sponsor a Hedgehog. You will receive a small plush toy Hedgehog, a photograph of the Hedgehog you have sponsored with a card explaining their story to date and updates on them until they go back to the wild. The sponsorship also includes a one hour visit to Hogwatch HedgeQ in Dumbarton where you will be able to hear about what we do and will see some Hedgehogs being weighed. You will receive a photo of your visit with a certificate as having completed a ‘Hedgehog Rescue Volunteer’ shift.
Please note that at the time of your visit, the Hedgehog you have sponsored may have been released back to the wild, so you may not be able to see that particular Hedgehog. Also, if under 18, the sponsor must be accompanied for the whole visit by a parent or guardian.
